Our Land
Paliouri Karditsa, where our base is located, is a semi-mountainous village at the foothills of Agrafa (exactly in the center of Greece). Together with the neighboring village of Dafnospilia, where our vineyards are also located, this is the largest wine-growing zone of the prefecture of Karditsa and an excellent proposal for a visit to the area. It combines the wild beauty of the Agrafa mountains range with the tranquility of the rural landscape of the Thessalian plain.
In the village there is one of the most important Byzantine monuments of the 12th century, the Monastery of Aghios Ioannis Theologos, in a verdant landscape overlooking the plain to Olympus.
Nearby is Lake Smokovo, which is characterized by the beautiful paths and its hot springs and baths and the beautiful mountain lake Plastira, where one can enjoy nature all the seasons, having many possibilities for alternative routes and activities. Nearby are the famous Meteora, with the rocks and the monasteries as well as the legendary Mount Olympus and Pelion with their beaches.

Our distillery and vineyards are open all year round. After consultation, tasting wines, spirits, food, as well as visits to all the wine-growing and agri-food areas of Karditsa and Thessaly can be performed. As a base for staying, we recommend the excellent Kazarma Lake Resort & Spa hotel in the nearby Lake Plastira.
