Our vineyards

The area we cultivate is over 100 acres. These include both old family vineyards and newly planted new vineyards, while new planting of organic vineyards is under way.

The basic variety is local Black Moschato, a strongly aromatic, small and sparingly blackish variety, of small yield, relative to the rest of the black muscat varieties, cultivated exclusively in the prefecture of Karditsa and especially in the vineyard zone of Dafnospilia - Paliouri. It is mainly intended for the creation of tsipouro giving excellent aromatic product.
The grape production of vineyards is very small, rarely exceeds 500-600 kg per acre, giving the right raw material for rich, concentrated products.
The cultivation of all our vineyards is done by natural methods without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Organic viticulture is not only a cultivation way but also a philosophy of how we produce and manage vineyards and other crops like grain, which we also produce.

Other varieties we cultivate are the local native Limniona, Batiki, Black Mesenicola, Zacharokokkinoudi (Sugar-red). Also, the exceptional Greek varieties Asyrtiko, Malagousia, Xinomavro, Roditis, Moschato, Malvasia, together with the international Syrah, which is a recommended and traditional cultivation for more than half a century and also participates in the production of PDO wines.
For this reason, we participate in programs and events that support and disseminate organic viticulture, organic production, ecological agriculture and environmental protection.
Sensitivity to the environment has led us to the use of manual vine-cultivating practices and the natural utilization of land and grape, which gives new dimensions to certified organic farming and modern wine-making technology.
The certification of organic farming is certified by DIO.
